This reminds me of COVID times.
The same initial uncertainty.
Then the same sense of:
- security that the leaders here in the UAE have things under control.
- gratitude for the community of friends I have here and my family and friends around the world.
This is another example of Dubai handing a situation with calm, clear authority.
Despite the noise of planes overhead and the previous days missile and drone intercepts I feel safe and secure under the UAE leadership.
I loved hearing how anyone stranded was given free hotel and meals for however long there are a guest here.
(I experienced that during the Torch Tower fire)
It is easy to show up when things are going well yet it how your show up during the tough times is what matter most.
When no one is watching you.
It highlights who you are.
Your values.
I don’t care if it is a government or you as a leader/founder or you as a spouse or parent.
Showing up now for others, despite your own worries, is what truly matters.
It builds trust and loyalty.
The little things matter:
- Check in on your colleagues and friends
- Remain optimistic (positive thoughts and actions)
- Focus on what you can control (your mindset and actions)
- Double down on your health through exercise and nutrition
- Use extra time at home to grow rather than numb yourself.
You will feel better in yourself
You will help others when they need it the most.
